Brenna (Hatter) Miguel

I have always had an interest in dogs and the interactions they have with humans. I have owned dogs my whole life and took an interest in training in my early teens. I decided that I needed more interactions with dogs; so I applied at a dog kennel in 2005. I have worked this job while I finished high school and college. I am currently still working at the kennel as well as establishing my own business. I attended the University of Mary Washington, where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Following my graduation I attended National K-9, master dog training course, where I became a Certified Professional Trainer (CPT). I received my endorsements in: Basic Obedience, Advanced Obedience, Behavior Modification, Utility, Breed Identification, Puppy Development, Tracking, Scent Detection, Retrieval, and Service Dog Work. I have also attended many seminars and will continue to attend other seminars and conferences to keep up to date with the latest ideas in training techniques and behavior.
I am currently a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) and the National K-9 Dog Trainers Association. My training interests are behavior problem solving, obedience training, scent detection and tracking .
I currently live in Stafford, VA with my husband and daughters. I have two dogs: an English Springer Spaniel named Copie and a Dachshund named Ducati.
